In today’s lesson, we’ll learn about the following situation. Have you ever experienced something similar?

Situation / シチュエーション

This is a situation where foreign guests dissatisfied with noise, views, or room facilities request room changes, involving availability checks, additional fee confirmation, and timing coordination for the move.
騒音、眺望、部屋の設備に不満を持つ外国人宿泊客が部屋変更を要求し、空室状況確認、追加料金の有無、移動タイミングについて調整する場面です。

騒音、眺望、部屋の設備に不満を持つ外国人宿泊客が部屋変更を要求し、空室状況確認、追加料金の有無、移動タイミングについて調整する場面です。

👨‍💼【Teacher / Guest】:
Excuse me. I'm having some issues with my room. The noise from the street is quite disturbing, and the view isn't what I expected.
(すみません。部屋にいくつか問題があります。通りからの騒音がかなり気になりますし、眺望も期待していたものと違います。)
🧑‍🎓【Student / Front Staff】:
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. May I ask what room number you're currently in?
(ご不便をおかけして誠に申し訳ございません。現在お泊まりのお部屋番号を伺ってもよろしいでしょうか。)

👨‍💼【Teacher / Guest】:
I'm in room 305. Also, the air conditioner doesn't seem to be working properly. I'd like to relocate to a different room if possible.
(305号室です。それと、エアコンも正常に動いていないようです。可能であれば別の部屋に移りたいのですが。)
🧑‍🎓【Student / Front Staff】:
I completely understand your concern. Let me check our availability right away. We have a room on the 8th floor with a better view and no street noise. Would that accommodate your needs?
(ご心配は十分理解いたします。すぐに空室状況を確認させてください。8階に眺望が良く通りの騒音もない部屋がございます。そちらでご要望に対応できますでしょうか。)

That sounds better. Will there be any additional charge for the room change?

No additional charge will be imposed on you for this change. We take full responsibility for the issues in your current room. When would you prefer to relocate?

I'd like to move as soon as possible. Can I do it within the next hour?
