(Reference again)
A first-time visitor to Japan asks detailed questions about immigration procedures, customs, and airport-to-city transportation.
👨💼【Teacher / First-time Visitor to Japan】:
Excuse me, I'm traveling to Japan for the first time. Could you help me understand the immigration procedures? I'm a bit nervous about what I need to prepare.
🧑🎓【Student / Cabin Attendant】:
Of course, I'd be happy to assist you. First, you need to prepare your passport and a completed disembarkation card. The card will be distributed during the flight, and I can help you fill it out if needed.
👨💼【Teacher / First-time Visitor to Japan】:
Thank you. What information do I need to write on the disembarkation card? I want to make sure I don't make any mistakes.
🧑🎓【Student / Cabin Attendant】:
You need to write your name, nationality, passport number, flight number, and your address in Japan. Please write clearly in English or Japanese. If you have any items to declare at customs, you must also indicate that on the card.
👨💼【Teacher / First-time Visitor to Japan】:
I see. What happens after I pass through immigration? Are there any other procedures I should be aware of?
🧑🎓【Student / Cabin Attendant】:
After immigration, you will proceed to baggage claim to collect your luggage. Then you will go through customs inspection. If you have nothing to declare, you can use the green lane. If you are carrying restricted items or amounts exceeding the duty-free allowance, please use the red lane and consult with customs officers.
👨💼【Teacher / First-time Visitor to Japan】:
That's very helpful. One more thing — how can I get from the airport to the city center? What are my options?
🧑🎓【Student / Cabin Attendant】:
You have several options. The airport limousine bus is convenient and departs every 15 to 20 minutes. The express train is faster and takes about 1 hour to reach central Tokyo. Taxis are also available, but they are more costly. I recommend purchasing your ticket at the transportation counter in the arrival lobby.
👨💼【Teacher / First-time Visitor to Japan】:
Thank you so much for all the detailed information. I feel much more confident now about my arrival in Japan.
