👨‍💼【Teacher / Logistics Manager】:
Thank you for joining this emergency meeting. Our main supplier in Southeast Asia has stopped shipping due to a natural disaster. We need to discuss how to secure alternative sources immediately.
🧑‍🎓【Student / Buyer】:
Understood. I have already contacted three alternative suppliers. First, I assessed their capacity and lead time. Second, I confirmed their ability to meet our quality standards. Third, I calculated the additional cost impact on our budget.

👨‍💼【Teacher / Logistics Manager】:
That sounds promising. What is the estimated additional cost, and how soon can they start shipping?
🧑‍🎓【Student / Buyer】:
The additional cost is approximately 15000 USD per month due to higher unit prices and expedited shipping. However, they can commence shipping within 10 days if we submit the purchase order by tomorrow.

👨‍💼【Teacher / Logistics Manager】:
I am concerned about the impact on our customers. How do you plan to allocate the limited inventory we currently have?
🧑‍🎓【Student / Buyer】:
I propose we prioritize our top 20 customers based on annual revenue and contract commitments. We will communicate transparently with other customers about the delay and offer them a 5 percent discount on their next order to mitigate dissatisfaction.

👨‍💼【Teacher / Logistics Manager】:
That allocation strategy makes sense. What are the key risks we should monitor during this transition period?
🧑‍🎓【Student / Buyer】:
The main risks include potential quality issues from new suppliers and possible delays in customs clearance. I recommend we assign a dedicated team to inspect the first shipment and coordinate closely with our freight forwarder to accelerate customs procedures.

👨‍💼【Teacher / Logistics Manager】:
Excellent. Your plan addresses the critical points effectively. Please proceed with the purchase order and keep me updated on the progress. I appreciate your quick response to this crisis.
