Thank you for meeting with me today. We received your claim regarding the cargo damage during ocean transport, but according to our carrier's terms and conditions, we must deny liability in this case.
(本日はお時間をいただきありがとうございます。海上輸送中の貨物損害に関するご請求を受け取りましたが、当社の運送約款に基づき、今回の件については責任を否認せざるを得ません。)

I understand your position, but we need to clarify the scope of liability under maritime law. First, we confirmed that the damage occurred during your custody period. Second, the bill of lading shows no exception clause for this type of cargo. Third, we have photographic evidence from the port of discharge.
(貴社の立場は理解しますが、海事法に基づく責任範囲を明確にする必要があります。第一に、損害は貴社の管理期間中に発生したことを確認しました。第二に、船荷証券にはこの種の貨物に対する免責条項の記載がありません。第三に、揚げ地の港から写真による証拠があります。)
