(Reference again)

An overseas customer requests product specification changes, requiring proposals about feasibility and implementation conditions.

👨‍💼【Teacher / Overseas Customer】:
Thank you for your quick response to our technical specification change request. We need to modify the product design to meet local safety standards. Can you confirm if this is possible?
🧑‍🎓【Student / Sales Representative】:
Yes, we can handle this request. Let me explain our approach. First, we confirmed with our technical team that the design change is feasible. Second, we checked with our supplier about material availability. Third, we reviewed the impact on cost and delivery schedule.

👨‍💼【Teacher / Overseas Customer】:
That sounds promising. However, we are concerned about the additional cost. Our budget is limited, and we need to keep the price increase as low as possible.
🧑‍🎓【Student / Sales Representative】:
I understand your concern. The specification change will increase the unit cost by approximately 8 percent due to special materials and additional testing. However, we can reduce this to 5 percent if you approve a longer contract period of 2 years instead of 1 year. This helps us manage supplier costs more effectively.

👨‍💼【Teacher / Overseas Customer】:
The 5 percent increase is more acceptable. But what about the delivery schedule? We cannot accept any delay because our project timeline is very tight.
🧑‍🎓【Student / Sales Representative】:
We understand the importance of meeting your deadline. The design change will require 3 additional weeks for development and testing. To avoid delaying your project, we propose starting production of standard components immediately while we complete the modified parts. This way, we can deliver on your original schedule.

👨‍💼【Teacher / Overseas Customer】:
That approach makes sense. One final question: how will you ensure the quality meets our local safety standards? We need proper documentation for regulatory approval.
🧑‍🎓【Student / Sales Representative】:
We will provide complete test reports and certification documents that meet your local standards. Our quality team will work with an approved local testing laboratory to ensure compliance. All documentation will be ready 2 weeks before shipment so you have time to review and submit for approval.

👨‍💼【Teacher / Overseas Customer】:
Excellent. I appreciate your detailed plan. Please send me a formal proposal with the cost breakdown, timeline, and quality assurance process. If everything is as discussed, we can move forward with the 2-year contract.
